Connect With Your Students

Connect With Your Students

Don't wait for students to come to you.
Go to them.

When you tackle an issue, you need to know that students want you and need you to work on it.

Your SG can't rely on word of mouth, a handful of private conversations, or the few responses you get from a survey.

Go to your students. Talk with them. Listen to them.

10 Minutes. One Student. One Conversation. Surveying students shouldn't be viewed simply as collecting answers. It's an opportunity to connect with the students you represent. Make it a goal to spend about 10 minutes talking with students one-on-one. Get to know them. Listen to what they have to say. Then use what you learn to help your SG understand student priorities.
