1. Video/DVD rental service
In 2006, the SGA started a DVD/video game rental service, which allows ACP students to 'rent' movies and video games for free, for 2 nights. There is a variety of old and new titles to choose from
2. Campus traditions
Welcome Week: the first week of classes SGA sponsors weeklong evening programming, such as pre-release movies, comedians, Texas Hold 'Em tournaments, bowling and karaoke. It's a nice way to not only welcome students to campus, but also to offer alternatives to off campus parties. Springfest: Every spring SGA and an outside sponsor organizes a campus wide event featuring live music, student bands, BBQ, novelty foods, inflatables, caricaturists and many other activities. It's the last big event we organize before finals, and a nice year ending tradition. Stress Relief Week/Snack Attack (Finals) The week prior to final exams SGA sponsors stress relief week, which consists of different activities held every afternoon to give the students an outlet for exam stress. The week of finals, SGA offers a late night snack every night of the week-subs, pizza, donuts and coffee and fruit and veggie trays are the usual treats. Yum!
3. Discount program
SGA sponsors a discount movie ticket program through the area movie theaters. SGA purchases already reduced movie tickets, and sells them to students for $5 apiece.
