University of South Florida/Tampa (USF) - SG Annual Budget Information, 07-08

Description:What you need to know to submit an Annual Budget:

 

  • In order for your organization to receive funding for the 2007/2008 fiscal year (July 1 2007 - June 30 2008) you must submit a budget request.
  • All requests must be submitted no later than FRIDAY JANUARY 26, 2007 at 5pm.
  • Requests are made through PASSPORT, which can be accessed at http://accord.fastmail.usf.edu/sgba/
  • In order for any user to receive access to Passport they must be listed as an executive board member within the organization. The president of each organization has the ability to update their members. The Office of Engagement and Involvement oversees all organization's non financial records; therefore, if you have any questions please go to room 215 in the Marshall Center or call them at 974.2045.
  • New users will receive access to PASSPORT 2-3 business days after registering.
  • Be sure to review the Budget Navigational Tutorial and 07/08 Proviso (rules). Both documents are located on the Administrative Services webpage.
  • Contact Administrative Services at 974-2045 with any question or problem!

What happens AFTER the annual budget has been submitted on PASSPORT:

  • Organization representatives (those who submitted the budget) will be contacted by a member of the Activity & Services Recommendation Committee (ASRC) to review and discuss their budget.
  • ASRC will make a preliminary allocation.
  • Organization representatives will be allowed to review the preliminary allocation and request specific projects to be re-reviewed if necessary during a week called "mock budget" (dates TBA).
  • Final allocations will be made by ASRC.
  • Student Senate, Student Body President, & University President review and approve total budget of Activity & Service Fees.
  • Monies allocated will be available for use July 1, 2007.
