Renegade Pantry

In 2009, with massive budget cuts to California Community College special needs programs, the Student Government Association at Bakersfield College saw a growing need among students on Campus. SGA determined that the food bank was needed to better serve the students. Over the winter break of 2009, SGA organized The Renegade Pantry. The Pantry's main goal is to help maintain the health and welfare of Bakersfield College students through organized college, community sponsorships and donations of nonperishable food items.

How can I contribute to the Renegade Pantry? You can contribute by donating non-perishable item and taking them to the Student Government Offices. We also accept money donations which you can take to the Business office. You can also help by volunteering at the pantry during distribution week sign ups are in Student Activities office.

How can I take advantage of this service? In order to take advantage of this service, you can sign up for a food order the week of distributions, all sign ups must be done before the actual day of distribution. Distributions will always be on Thursday unless otherwise noted. Schedule is posted on the right and at the Student Activities office.

Sign-up at Campus Center 4 on the designated dates. Delano Campus students sign-up at A&R on the designated dates. Distribution date hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 6:00
