  • Can you give us ideas on how to improve our food service on campus?

Our student senators are researching information about different Dining Hall services. Our student body has been dissatisfied with the variety of the food, the lack of healthy choices, and even food-service personnel attitudes.

We will be building a new student center starting next May and if neccessary we may be contracted a different company, but only if our student senators do their research. Could you give us some information or guide us with our research?

  • Do any private colleges have a "student legal services" program sponsored by SGA?

Our SGA is interested potentially providing students with a local attorney who would be on campus weekly for a few hours to provide limited legal consultation (predominately letting students know if they need a lawyer for university citations, and minor offensives).

In investigating this process, I am wondering if you know of any small private schools that offer this program to students. We would like to take a look at the contract they use and the process they follow.

  • Do any schools offer a textbook library? (1 of 3 answers)

Johnson & Wales University Providence SGA recently passed a resolution asking the university to look into creating an Academic Reference Section (ARS). This ARS would contain at least one copy of every required text book for each academic class. I wanted to know how ASGA could help us found out what other SG's have this type of similar type of system in place at their school.

  • How can our SGA get Redbox or Blockbuster Express on our campus?

SGAs at our university have been looking into getting a Redbox or Blockbuster Express for over three years now with now luck. We recently contacted both companies and were not selected, again. We are a small, private university in Maryland. I was wondering if you know of any tactics to recommend or can put us in contact with similar schools that have ascertained a kiosk for their campus, even though an independent company such as DVD Now. I look forward to your response!

  • How do we set up a countywide recycling center on campus? (1 of 2 answers)

Each year our Student Government president must submit a "top 10" list. The number one thing that is on my list is to incoporate a countywide recyling center on our school's campus. In order for the top 10 list to work I have to draw up a proposal to submit to the college president. I have looked everywhere for info and this is my last resort. I really want this to be a success. Can you help?
