  • American Association of University Administrators (AAUA)

American Association of University Administrators is a non-profit professional organization for higher education leaders and administrative personnel. It is the only professional association for individuals who are interested in the entire range of higher education management (from department chair/unit director through president) in the entire diverse set of American colleges and universities (two- and four-year; public, private non-profit, private for-profit; comprehensive, research-focused, special mission).

The stated mission of AAUA is to develop and advance superior standards and practices for the profession of higher education administration, particularly emphasizing the responsibility of administrators, at all levels, to demonstrate moral and ethical leadership in the exercise of all their duties. Our association works actively to:

Promote the professional development of individuals engaged in the administration of higher education.
Promulgate ethical and professional standards for administrators and institutions of higher education.
Cultivate the mutuality of interests of those engaged in or concerned with the administration of higher education.
Membership in AAUA helps support the association's mission. In addition, membership provides—for those members who have an interest—opportunities for professional networking and leadership. In addition to enrolling and serving a significant complement of administrators at the most senior levels, the association is also interested in assisting early-career practitioner administrators build/enhance their leadership portfolios by providing leadership opportunities through service on association committees, boards, and taskforces. Opportunities to collaborate on offering professional development services are available as well.

  • Jesuit Student Government Alliance

The Jesuit Student Government Alliance, founded in 2018, consists of the Student Government Presidents from all member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU). The JSGA serves to provide a platform of collaboration and advocacy for members. Members meet in-person twice a year, at the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference (NJSLC) during the summer and the Winter Summit during the winter, and participate in virtual calls throughout the year. These opportunities provide ways for the group to discuss best practices, campus initiatives, and voice the opinion of their collective, Jesuit student bodies.

Mission: As stewards of our respective student bodies, it is our duty to cultivate students to their fullest potential, embodying the Jesuit mission and ideals. Having subscribed to a common program of higher learning and purpose according to the Jesuit Catholic mission, it is in the best interest of all Jesuit colleges and universities to foster robust collaboration and act as a common resource for one another. This partnership will ensure representation of all AJCU students and a unified promotion of Jesuit principles. Greater connection between Jesuit colleges and universities will strengthen our commitment to the broader Jesuit Catholic mission while providing opportunities to share unique perspectives on campus issues, government structures and processes, and global concerns. Making an impact in today's world while protecting the interests of all students requires a unified voice and spirit. The establishment of a Jesuit student leader coalition such as this provides a vehicle for national understanding and solidarity.
