What is the difference between ASGA and Student Leader?
What is the difference between Student Leader magazine and ASGA?
Student Leader was the official magazine of ASGA. It was published from 1993 until 2005. It was a print magazine that also has its own Web site, www.studentleader.com. Student Leader wrote about Student Government issues, but also was read by all types of campus leaders nationwide, everyone from residence life leaders to Greek leaders to community service leaders. All of Student Leader's past articles and research are available to ASGA members.
ASGA is the nation's professional association serving and supporting collegiate Student Government leaders and their advisors.
ASGA's MISSION STATEMENT:
The American Student Government Association will provide all Student Government leaders and advisors nationwide with networking, research, and information resources and will teach them how to become more effective, ethical, and influential leaders on their campuses. ASGA also will promote the advancement of SGs, conduct research as the nation’s only “SG Think Tank,” and advocate the importance of having a vibrant, autonomous Student Government organization at every institution in America.
