Can campus media have access to the site? Can they become members?
Can the campus media access information and e-mail lists at the ASGA site? Can they become members?
Members of the campus press can become ASGA "Associate Members," just like any related company or organization. They then will have complete access to the same member information and resources that any SG member has.
However, access to ASGA resources and information will be limited for members of the campus press who are not currently ASGA members.
On a case-by-case basis, ASGA may allow temporary access to specific ASGA resources and services to help reporters and editors complete research for Student Government-lreated articles and assignments.
For example, if your SG has been honored as "SG of the Month," logically ASGA should allow access to the profile to your campus newspaper's editors and reporters. We may also allow them to view the past honorees and details on the nomination process.
When ASGA releases new SG-related research, we anticipate allowing temporary access to that specific research to campus media nationwide.
ASGA's MISSION STATEMENT:
The American Student Government Association will provide all Student Government leaders and advisors nationwide with networking, research, and information resources and will teach them how to become more effective, ethical, and influential leaders on their campuses. ASGA also will promote the advancement of SGs, conduct research as the nation’s only “SG Think Tank,” and advocate the importance of having a vibrant, autonomous Student Government organization at every institution in America.
