(Name of your organization and institution) Is One of Only 100 Original Founding Members of the New National Professional Association for Student Governments

(Date) The American Student Government Association is proud to announce that the (name of your group) at (name of your college/university) has joined as one of the original "Founding Members."

ASGA is the first-ever national professional association for Student Government leaders and advisors. ASGA is the most incredible information, networking, and research resource EVER CREATED for Student Government leaders and advisors.

"Through ASGA's resources, Student Governments nationwide will learn how to better serve their constituents, solve pressing problems, and get ideas for new services and programs they can offer their constituents," says W.H. "Butch" Oxendine, Jr., executive director. "ASGA will help all Student Governments nationwide grow and improve in their effectiveness and influence, which is turn makes them more useful and relevant to their constituents, their fellow students."

The (name of your group) at (name of your college) became one of the Founding Members of ASGA on (date). There are only 100 Founding Members nationwide, representing nearly 30 states and all types of institutions, from state universities to private colleges to community colleges.

"Founding Members had the courage and vision to understand how important ASGA is going to be," Oxendine says. "They understood how important a national clearinghouse of knowledge and information will be for SG leaders and advisors, and they leapt on board before ASGA officially launched, supporting this important national resource before it even existed. ASGA will always be grateful for their vision and courage."

ASGA members have access to the massive "SG Database" of every Student Government in America. Members can search for similiar institutions, solutions to ongoing problems, contacts, research, election codes, constitutions, budgeting structures, and much more.

(quote from your SG president or advisor about how excited you are about ASGA and how it will help you).

In addition to the national recognition Founding Members receive, they also earn other tangible benefits:
1. All Founding Members get two years of membership for the price of one year-- permanently, and their dues will never increase. So the (name of your group) at (name of your school) will save its students financially over the years as a Founding Member.
2. The profiles of all Founding Members are "live" on the Founding Members page in the "About Us/Visitors" section of the ASGA web site, www.asgaonline.com. Every potential new member can access the complete profiles of all 100 Founding Members without being an ASGA member. So the Founding Members get national exposure as well.

ASGA was founded by the same team that publishes Student Leader magazine, the "bible" for Student Governments. For the past 20 years, Oxendine Publishing has produced Student Leader (see www.studentleader.com), Florida Leader magazine for college and high schools students across the state (see www.floridaleader.com), and several award and scholarship programs, including the 17th annual "Florida College Student of the Year Awards" (see www.floridaleader.com/soty) and the 15th annual "Best of Florida Schools Awards" (see www.floridaleader.com). ASGA's executive director is "America's #1 Student Government Consultant" and has written several books on student government issues.
