Description: Constructed in the early 1970s, the Aravaipa Campus is located north of Tucson along Highway 77 in the rural mountains of beautiful eastern Pinal County at the entrance of Aravaipa Canyon. The town of Winkelman is located 13 miles to the north.

Serving the former mining communities of Hayden, Kearny, Mammoth, San Manuel, and Winkelman, Aravaipa produces economical and comprehensive community college programs and services for the residents. Graduation is a hometown event and the annual student awards ceremony is preceded by a potluck dinner.

The Aravaipa Campus is reaching further south to provide programs to the growing communities of Saddlebrooke and Oracle.

The industrial equipment located at Aravaipa gives the campus a tremendous hands-on training center for crafts such as upholstery, automotive work, welding and carpentry. The campus has one of the largest and best-stocked shops in all of Pinal County, giving its students practical experience.

The campus also features an excellent science facility with access to the Aravaipa wilderness as its own ecological study area.
